Corden Caught in Beckham-Inspired Pose

We posted a first look yesterday at James Corden in new, revealing photographs that appear in Heat.

We had speculated that it was simply an attempt from tabloid The Daily Mail to drive circulation.

However, it appears the photos are in fact real and not the handiwork of a Photoshop expert.

Leave it to Corden to create a stir and get a laugh with his latest stunt - well done James!

Pick up the current issue of Heat Magazine for the real deal.

Meanwhile, here’s a list of major sites covering the photos:

And the shots themselves:

13, May Update: Check out our latest on these great photos (including a second shot) in “Corden Caught in Beckham-Inspired Pose.”

Almost hesitate to post this, given The Daily Mail’s tabloid reputation.

That said, it’s too good to pass up. Especially for some of our more loyal readers (you know who you are).

Whether true or simply good photoshop work, James Corden has a new David Beckham-style photo.

Read the Mail’s account here, “Just for Laughs: James Corden leaves little to the imagination.

Or see the photo. After the jump.

We’d heard James Corden attended the London premiere of new film What Happens in Vegas and now we have video of him on his way in.

Corden’s connection to the film? He starred in director Tom Vaughan’s previous film Starter for Ten.

Check out James in the clip below from YouTube. He hits at about the 5:56 mark.

You can also see a different part of his red carpet interview in this clip. James shows up as #3 at about 1:05.

The Future of “Gavin & Stacey”

Posted in Misc on May 5, 2008 by Jon

No one is yet sure of the future of Gavin & Stacey, including the writers themselves.

The series has received a number of accolades and awards, including a double-BAFTA win last month. However, the second series has already finished its initial airing on BBC3 and the DVD is scheduled for release in November.

Given the success, it’s likely that the show will find good reception with repeat-airings over the summer.

Also in the works is a US-version and US-airing of the original show on BBC America.

Beyond that, none of the writers or producers have provided much insight into the future. There has been consistent talk of a Gavin & Stacey Christmas special this December as well as a third series if there is a strong storyline can be developed.

Fortunately, Corden has also spoken out against remaking the show into a movie. We have to agree with him: it works as a TV show, so why mess with it?

Corden lends “Ham(d)” to Charity

The stars were out in force at a recent West Ham United game. James Corden took to Upton Park to help out with the Bobby Moore Fund day.

Corden is a staunch West Ham United fan, as is the character he plays in Gavin & Stacey, Smithy.

Another Great Corden Profile

The press keeps on coming for Britain’s #1 TV property, James Corden. From The Independent, official word that Corden’s hit the big time.

A great, quick read about Corden’s ascent into Britcom royalty, capped with his coronation last week at the BAFTAs (Corden won Best Comedy Performance and his show Gavin & Stacey picked up the audience award).

The author strolls through Corden’s acting past with some great quotes from Nicholas Hytner and Alan Bennett who directed and wrote (respectively) The History Boys which featured Corden. And from Henry Normal of Baby Cow Productions, the team that produces Gavin & Stacey and also produce Cruise of The Gods, which also starred Corden.

Our own “History  Boys” and Cruise of The Gods coverage is upcoming as we’re still playing catch-up on Corden’s incredibly successful career.

The article also touches on Corden’s growing sex appeal, including a mention of our friends over at chubarma.net (an American gay site and JCFS supporter), who’ve taken to referring to Corden as ”my future husband.”

Also given a boost in this piece is the James Corden Birthday Mysterey. Reported here, James was born 17 June, 1978. Which puts him at 29 (the ever-growing consensus on his age) but a different month than his Wikipedia page reports (source cited as XFM London radio interview).

Does anyone know when Mr. Corden entered the world?

Horne + Corden Have Come. Almost.

James Corden and Mat Horne have officially signed up to make a new sketch comedy show for BBC 3.

We’ve covered the idea (working title: Horne and Corden Have Come) for a few weeks now, but it’s great to see it get more mainstream press. Rumor has it that the show will film over the summer and premiere in fall/early next year.

Take a look at these past posts for more info:

Also don’t forget to see the duo in a similar sketch situation as part of Big Brother’s Big Mouth: Celebrity Hijack.
