“Gavin & Stacey” heads over the pond

BBC America, the joint-venture between the BBC and US-based Discovery Communications, has purchased the rights to air Gavin & Stacey to American audiences.

BBC America plans to air Gavin & Stacey starting August 2008.

The move does not impact American broadcaster NBC’s plans to develop a US version of the hit show.
